Target Audience/ character planning

My group and I have come to an agreement to make the video about a cartel and its multiple issues. For the crime genre, the target audience is 16 and over. Our group wishes to follow this target audience because cartels is a heavy topic for some teenagers. After much discussion, we are also now talking about  what props and clothing are needed to make our future characters look legit. 

Cartel leaders tend to dress in a variety of styles, depending on the context and culture of the cartel. Their outfits vary from suits to casual attire. Additionally, they may accessorize with flashy jewelry, designer sunglasses, and other items that signify their power and wealth. The picture I added below is a picture of Ovidio Guzman, son of El Chapo Guzman who is known as one of the biggest cartel leaders on the globe. As you can see, his outfit is pretty simple, but nice. My group and I want a mix of both expensive and simple/nice. 

The other picture I added a character called Pacho Herrera from the show "Narcos" on Netflix. Pacho Herrera is one of the four leaders of the Cali Cartel, known as one of the most powerful cartels in world history. His outfit fits the "cartel leader" stereotype. The expensive watch, colorful buttoned down shirt, and overall look is what we want one of our characters to look like. 

By next class, we'll have the idea of the plot line completed the character planning will be finished. Stay tuned!
