After researching what characteristics cartel leaders have on https://www.thecipherbrief.com/column_article/the-structure-and-psychology-of-drug-cartels, the article also went into detail explaining how the cartel works and and what the structure looked like from a business point of view. My group and I want our two minute video to introduce different types of cartel leaders if my group decides to focus on this genre . One cartel leader is going to be a complete nut job that has no morale or human decency. The second cartel leader is going to be more organized, treating his illegal business like a fortune 500 company.

We want both cartel leaders to be portrayed as complex individuals in the video. We want our cartel leaders to be like "Tuco Salamanca" and " Gustavo Fring" from Breaking Bad. "Tuco" is a sloppy cartel leader that is blinded by his aggressiveness and severe drug usage. On the the other hand, Gustavo is more organized, barely leaving any trails and has a solid network for his cartel that he built from the ground up using his chain restaurant as a cover up. These characters can serve as the basis for our characters.

Planning out the character details and names is always hard. I am planning on having a group facetime call later today with my group in order to begin discussing character names, characteristics, and origin. Once we have come up with a basis, I will continue to inform my blog about any changes. Stay tuned!
